It’s the most beautiful day of the year for every child: their birthday! Eating cake, opening presents, playing games and celebrating with friends. The anticipation is often just as great as the celebration itself. A birthday coloring page is the perfect way to use this excitement creatively. Whether as preparation for your own party, as an activity for the guests or as a homemade gift for grandma and grandpa – these pictures immediately spread the party mood.
Coloring the coloring pages is all about color and happiness. Huge cakes with lots of candles, colorful balloons rising into the sky and fun party hats are waiting to be designed. Children can design their dream cake here: should it be made of chocolate, decorated with strawberries or perhaps rainbow colored? There are no limits to your imagination when it comes to celebrating your special day.

Instructions for birthday coloring pages
Birthdays are loud and colorful – and that’s exactly how the pictures should be! Have the strongest felt-tip pens, highlighters and of course glitter pens ready. A birthday cake looks twice as delicious with glittery icing, and balloons look most festive with bold colors.
Simple motifs such as a large cupcake or a number that corresponds to their age are suitable for the little ones. Here you can proudly color “your” number. Older children will enjoy detailed party scenes with bunting, confetti and piles of presents. Encourage children to add personal details to the coloring pages, such as the birthday child’s name or the exact age on the cake.

6 creative ideas with birthday coloring pages
Individual invitation cards Print a motif (e.g. a cake) in smaller size on the front of a folding card. The child can color it in and the information about the party is inside. You couldn’t invite more personally!
Party Placemats Print out a birthday coloring page in A3 or A4 format for each guest. Place it on the table as a placemat and provide cups with pens. This keeps the children busy while they wait for food.
Make gift tags Small motifs such as balloons, candles or small gifts can be colored in, cut out and punched. With a ribbon, they embellish any wrapped gift.
Design a birthday crown Find a template that looks like a crown or glue birthday motifs onto a strip of paper. After coloring, the strip is adjusted to the circumference of the head and stapled together. Now the birthday child is the king or queen of the day.
Bunting for the room Cut out colored cakes and party hats and glue them onto triangular cardboard bunting. Hung on a string, this is the perfect decoration for the party room.
Greetings card for friends If the child is a guest at a birthday, a lovingly colored picture is the best gift. Write “All the best” and maybe stick some real confetti on the picture.
Paint by numbers for your birthday
Sometimes the excitement before your birthday is so great that you can hardly sit still. “Painting by numbers” helps you calm down. By assigning colors to numbers, you can create beautiful, colorful cakes and gifts without having to think about the color choice. The result is always a direct hit.
